We had earlier reported the upcoming device from Oppo- Oppo A1k which was about to hit the Kenyan market. Yesterday Oppo A1k finally hit the Kenyan stores, Oppo went ahead to create awareness via a Facebook Ad.
For a recap, the device is a low-end ‘budget-oriented’ device from Oppo that comes right on to compete with the likes of Nokia 3.2 and Infinix S4. Stuck in between the two here’s our comparison of the Nokia 3.2 and Infinix S4.
Oppo A1k has a water drop 6.1-inch HD+ display and packs the Mediatek MT6762R Octa-Core processor clocked at 2.0GHz paired with The PowerVR GE8320 as the graphical processing unit. Memory-wise the device comes in only one configuration; 2GB RAM and 32 gigs of internal storage.
It runs on the latest Android 9.0 Pie with Oppo’s ColorOS version 6 on top and the device is powered by a 4000mAh Li-Polymer battery.
Other specs include Dual stand 4G, microSD card support, 8MP rear and 5MP front camera.

Oppo A1k goes at a price of Ksh 15,990(inclusive of tax) which is in line with our previous price prediction to have a price tag between Ksh 13,000 to Ksh 17,000. You can get the device in Kenyan online stores and will hit major smartphone outlet stores country-wide soon.
