Twitter Surveys Users on Features to Place Behind a Subscription

Last week, Twitter’s Jack Dorsey confirmed that they are considering ways to supplement their ads business. One of them was to introduce a subscription model. The company has started surveying users on potential features that could be placed on the subscription feature.

The survey shows a couple of features that the company could consider to place under a paywall. In the survey, Twitter lists tons of different features. The list includes the following;

Undo send

Undo send offers a 30 seconds window for you to recall a tweet before anyone can see it. This could be a nice detour to review your Tweet before sending it out to the internet so, maybe, you won’t need an edit button.

Custom Colors

Custom color lets you customize Twitter the way you like. In addition to the light and dark theme, you will be able to change fonts and the theme color on your device. This customization will appear universally with everything from background colors, links, mentions, hashtags, and more covered.

Video Publishing

Paid users could be able to post longer videos (up to 5x) on Twitter and in high resolution (up to 8K – 8192 x 8192p).

Recruit on Twitter

This will enable paid users to open positions and directly recruit via Twitter.

Custom profile badges

This could be a simple identity badge that helps users know about someone easily. A badge could include your business or workplace.

Advanced analytics

On top of the insights provided via analytics.twitter.com, you will be able to view additional insights including the best time to post, the best Tweet length, and more. Besides, twitter will also provide you with an insight into interactions with other accounts.

Auto responses

Create and set a menu of auto-responses to use in replies. This could be very handy for customer support teams of company profiles.

User roles

User roles is another company-focused feature that lets you give your workers access to your company account in a secure way and without sharing passwords.

Custom stickers and hashtags

Ability to create custom stickers and hashtags which include emojis.

Less or No Ads

Also, the company is considering letting users block ads at a fee.
