
MoMo Payment Service Bank (MoMo PSB), the fintech subsidiary of MTN Nigeria licensed by the Central Bank of Nigeria to provide digital financial services, money transfers and bill payments via mobile devices, has appointed Bode Abifarin as its Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, effective 1 September 2026.
Abifarin joins MoMo PSB with more than 23 years of experience spanning financial services, consulting, digital payments, fintech, strategy, operations and business transformation.
She is widely recognised for her role in scaling some of Africa’s most impactful financial services and technology institutions, with deep expertise in driving growth, innovation, operational excellence and financial inclusion across the continent.

Abifarin previously served as Chief Operating Officer of Flutterwave, where she played a role in the company’s growth into one of Africa’s leading fintech businesses, leading strategic expansion initiatives across multiple markets, establishing scalable operating models and strengthening regulatory engagement.
She also spent 15 years at KPMG, rising to Associate Director in Management Consulting, advising leading financial institutions and organisations across Africa on strategy, transformation, customer experience and business growth. She most recently founded Strata Advisory, a technology-focused advisory firm.
