Apple has rolled out its latest update for the iPad and iPhone. The new update, version iOS and iPadOS 14.4.1, ships with nothing but a single serious security fix in tow. That means you should upgrade your iPhone or iPad as soon as the update is available.
According to support documents, iOS and iPadOS 14.4.1 update improve on the previously found memory corruption issue first addressed in iOS and iPadOS 14.4. The bug could let an attacker execute arbitrary code via Apple’s Safari WebKit rendering engine to spy on a user.
What Apple has done in the new update is improving validation.
The update is available on the iPhone 6s and later, iPad Air 2 and later, iPad mini 4 and later, and iPod touch (7th generation).
You can update your iPhone or iPad (if you haven’t already) by going to the Settings app > General > Software Update.
