By now you’re all aware of the recent allegations that surfaced online about OPPO Kenya CEO harassing an employee. These reports came to the limelight at the same time the company had launched its new device the OPPO F7 in the market.
In a leaked recording that was widely shared on social media, the company’s ‘’CEO’ Andrew Peng is heard verbally harassing an ‘’employee’ questioning him why he had not fired some brand promoters as instructed. What followed next was a trending hashtag #ShameOnOppoKenya with Kenyans expressing different views regarding the incident.

Another video has now emerged online of the CEO being arrested by people said to be immigration officials. The Video shows him being walked out of what is believed to be the company’s offices in Upper Hill.

When the harassment allegations first came out the company said it had launched investigations into the matter but had not issued an official statement until today. Sources also indicate that this was not the first time employees were being treated with disrespect at the company.
OPPO Kenya has not made any official statement on the CEO’s arrest but it’s definitely something we will be keeping an eye on.
