Budget Redmi 10A launched in Kenya for Ksh.12,899


Xiaomi has today announced the official launch of its latest budget phone, the Redmi 10A in Kenya. The phone will be available in 3 variants; 2GB + 32GB at Ksh. 12,899/, 3GB + 64GB at Ksh.14,499/ and 4GB + 128GB at that the company is selling at 16,499/. 

With the launch of the Redmi 10A, Xiaomi says it raises the bar for the segment by making exceptional performance available at a highly affordable price, making it a top-of-the-line contender in its bracket. 

The Redmi 10A is dual-SIM (Nano) phone that runs on Android-based MIUI 12.5. It features a 6.53-inch HD+ (720×1,600 pixels) IPS display with a 20:9 aspect ratio and a waterdrop-style notch. The phone is powered by the octa-core MediaTek Helio G25 SoC, and has up to 4GB of RAM. There is also a 3GB/64GB and 2GB/32GB variant that we highlighted above. The storage can be expanded to up to 1TB. 

For the cameras, the phone comes with a single 13-megapixel camera at the back, with an f/2.2 aperture and an LED flash. For selfies, the Redmi 10A has a 5-megapixel selfie camera sensor at the front, with an f/2.2 lens.

Xiaomi has equipped the Redmi 10A with a 5,000mAh battery, and it comes with a 10W charger. Xiaomi says the battery provides enough power to last you a full day. 

Connectivity options include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 5, and GPS/ A-GPS. This phone also has a Micro-USB port as well as a 3.5mm headphone jack as well as a fingerprint sensor at the back.

The Redmi 10A will be available for purchase in Kenya starting today and comes in 2 color options:  Graphite Gray and Sky Blue.
