Nokia 3.4 Officially Available in Kenya with 4GB RAM and 13MP Triple Rear Camera

Going at Ksh 18,000

HMD Global, the home of Nokia phones, has unveiled a new smartphone in Kenya, the Nokia 3.4. Nokia 3.4 includes the usual clean Android experience provided by Google’s Android One Program and promises two major OS upgrades.

Nokia 3.4 ships with Android 10 out of the box, meaning it will be updated to Android 11 and also Android 12, coming next year.

It is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 460 Mobile Platform, promising a big performance leap from the previous generation paired with 4GB RAM and 64GB of internal storage.

Nokia 3.4’s punch-hole cutout is a first for the company, home to an 8-megapixel front-facing camera. The rear includes three camera lenses, one 13-megapixel main, a 5-megapixel ultra-wide lens, a 2-megapixel depth sensor, and a fingerprint sensor.

The display is a 6.39” HD+ LCD panel with a 19.5:9 aspect ratio. Nokia 3.4 sports the usual volume rockers and power button on the right and a dedicated Google Assistant button on the left, a common norm for the company.

You’ll be glad to know it has a USB Type-C port, which is slowly becoming popular among budget phones. The back of the Nokia 3.4 has so-called 3D nano-textured rear for a better grip that you won’t find in other phones at this price range.

The phone packs a 4,000mAh battery but with no fast charging support. It includes LTE band 28, so you can snap in your Faiba JTL sim card.

Nokia 3.4 starts at Ksh 18,000 and will be selling in three beautiful paint jobs; Fjord, dusk, and charcoal.

“With the new Nokia 3.4, we wanted to stay true to what made its predecessor successful, but also push the boundaries on what features we can include on a phone that’s designed to bring big experiences without the big cost,” Gopher Ogembo, Senior Business Manager, HMD said.

“The Nokia 3.4 gives you more power, more screen, and more freedom to push the boundaries of your creativity thanks to the ultra-wide lens and AI imaging. And it’s signature two-day battery life lets you make the most out of your day, whether you’re being productive or just spending time doing the things you love,” he added.
