When it comes to the Kenyan market, I’m skeptical of talking about budget-smartphones because it’s very different, unlike other markets. The budget range in Kenya is often the under Ksh 10,000; however, let us upgrade and look at what’s beyond the entry-level devices. In this list, I’ve compiled the smartphones that will offer you a better value for your money priced between Ksh 10, 000 and Ksh 20,000.

You get a 6.4-inch 720p HD AMOLED display with a 19.5:9 aspect ratio and it comes in a 3GB/32GB ROM memory configuration which is good at this price range. There isn’t much to talk about the camera, but it packs a dual setup on the rear with a 13MP and 2MP sensor. For front snaps, the device has a 16MP selfie camera housed in a water-drop notch.

Also, the device is packed with a triple rear camera setup made of a 13MP + 8MP + 2MP lens. On the front is a 32MP camera housed in a water-drop notch that ensures the high 19:9 screen-to-body ratio is achieved.

Other specs include; LTE support, fingerprint sensor, 4000mAh battery and Android 9.0 pie splashed with XOS v4.0.

RedMi Note 7 has a better display with higher 1080p resolution unlike other 720p devices in the list. In photography, you get a Dual 48 MP + 5 MP Rear and a 13 MP on the front.

Other specs include USB-Type C support, both Face and fingerprint unlock. The specs are quite premium-ish, but you can get this deal at a reduced price of Ksh 18,000. RedMi Note 7 is the go-to device in this list.
