Airtel Money has opened four new retail stores in Mombasa County, expanding its customer service footprint at the Coast.
The new outlets are located at Sabasaba, Airport Centre Mall, Nyali Bazaar and Likoni.
They will offer SIM registration and replacement, Airtel Money support, customer onboarding, device assistance, and voice and data solutions for individuals and business customers.
The expansion comes as the company continues investing in its physical retail network alongside upgrades to its network infrastructure and digital platforms.
Airtel Kenya Managing Director Djibril Tobe said the new shops reflect the company’s focus on improving accessibility for customers across the country.
“As we continue to grow across Kenya, we are focused on making our services more accessible and more convenient. These new customer care shops are another step towards our goal of bringing Airtel closer to customers,” Tobe said.
He said the company will continue investing in its retail network alongside investments in network infrastructure and digital innovation.
Airtel Kenya Customer Experience Director Goldermier Opiyo said the expanded network would help the company respond more effectively to customer needs in Mombasa County.
“Every new shop brings us closer to our customers. By expanding our presence across Mombasa, we are making it easier for customers to access personalized support and resolve their queries quickly,” Opiyo said.
The openings form part of Airtel Kenya’s plan to double its customer service footprint by the end of the year.
Following the expansion, the company now operates 90 retail stores across the country, as competition in Kenya’s telecommunications sector continues to deepen.
