HMD To Announce New Nokia Phones On March 19th

Since the coronavirus outbreak started to tour more countries around the globe, tech companies have to figure out other ways to release their unreleased products. Many tech events have been canceled already, including those from Microsoft, Google, and more.

As a result, many tech companies have opted to host online events and announcing their new products in press releases.

HMD, the face behind Nokia, says they will release their new phones on 19th this month. This comes just weeks after canceling their attendance at the annual Mobile World Congress event hosted by the GSM Association, which was supposed to take place between February 24 and 26th in Barcelona, Spain. The company opted to cancel the event to safeguard the health and well-being of employees and other stakeholders.

According to HMD Global VP Juho Sarvikas, the company will host the event in London.

The company had previously promised to host “a series of events dubbed Nokia Live” to showcase their new products.
