Huawei officially announced the launch of the Huawei Y9s in Kenya last month. The device has been available for pre-order which ended just the other day. And now, the device is now available all retail stores across the country.
The Huawei Y9s retails at Ksh 31,999 and comes with a few minor upgrades from its predecessor, the Huawei Y9 Prime 2019. It comes with a 6.59-inch display with a resolution of 1080×2340 pixels at a pixel density of 391 pixels per inch (ppi). It is powered by an octa-core Kirin 710F processor and comes with 6GB of RAM.
The Huawei Y9s runs Android Pie and is powered by a 4000mAh battery.
For the cameras, the Huawei Y9s packs a 48-megapixel primary rear camera with an f/1.8 aperture; a second 8-megapixel camera with an f/2.2 aperture and a third 2-megapixel camera with an f/2.4 aperture. The selfie camera is 16-megapixel with an f/2.2 aperture.
The device runs EMUI 9.1.1 based on Android Pie and packs 128GB of inbuilt storage that can be expanded via microSD card (up to 512GB). It is a dual-SIM smartphone that accepts Nano-SIM and Nano-SIM cards.
