Huawei Y5 2019 officially goes on sale in Kenya for Ksh.11,499


The Huawei Y5 2019, another entry-level smartphone from Huawei has officially gone on sale in Kenya. Huawei is selling the device for Ksh.11,499 and its available both online and retail stores across the country.

At that price range, the Huawei Y5 2019 is a direct competitor to the recently launched Tecno Spark 3 and the Infinix HOT 7.

It comes with a 5.71-inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 720×1520 pixels and an aspect ratio of 18.5:9. The device is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio A22 processor. It comes with 2GB of RAM and packs 16GB of inbuilt storage that can be expanded via microSD card (up to 512GB)

The Y5 2019 runs Android Pie and is powered by a 3,020mAh battery. For the cameras, the Huawei Y5 2019 packs a 13-megapixel rear camera with an f/1.8 aperture. The selfie camera, on the other hand, is  5-megapixel with an f/2.2 aperture.

Connectivity options include Wi-Fi, Micro-USB, 3G, and 4G. The device has been launched in Modern Black, Midnight Black, Amber Brown, and Sapphire Blue colours.
