MEST Africa has announced the 50 startups that have been selected to take part in the second annual MEST Africa Challenge. The challenge will take place on February 27 and 28 in Accra, Lagos, Nairobi, Cape Town and Abidjan.
Finalists from each country will attend the MEST Africa Summit in Nairobi, Kenya, June 10-12, 2019, where they will once again compete on a global stage for up to $50k in equity investment and the opportunity to join the Pan-African MEST incubator community.

MEST says the 2019 Challenge attracted over 1,000 applications, out of which 50 have been chosen to compete in the semi-finals in Accra, Nairobi, Lagos, Cape Town and Abidjan.
Below is the full list of the startups from the five countries and dates when the regional pitches will be held. The pitches will be done at MEST Incubator locations or local partners offices.
