Xiaomi unveils the Redmi Note 4 smartphone, featuring a 4100mAh battery


Xiaomi, as anticipated, has finally unveiled the latest Redmi Note-series smartphone, the Redmi Note 4. The device was unveiled in China and features a metallic body  with a 5.5-inch full-HD (1080×1920 pixels) 2.5D curved glass display and sports a pixel density of 401ppi.

The Redmi Note 4 handset will be available in two variants: 2GB of RAM and 16GB inbuilt storage. Both the variants will go on sale initially in China from August 26 and will be available via Xiaomi’s online store, Mi.com.

The Redmi Note 4 runs the company’s latest MIUI 8 based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow. Other features include a deca-core MediaTek Helio X20 coupled with Mali-T880 MP4 GPU. Both the 2GB and 3GB RAM models support expandable storage via microSD card (up to 128GB). It is also available in three colors: silver, gold and dark grey.
