Well, the device is finally here and according to TECNO mobile, they want to meet the needs of most users who currently rely more and more on electronic products.
We have the tablet with us which are expected to hit the market on 8th April. In this article, I am going to unbox it telling you what to expect when you decide to purchase it. What do you basically get in the package? This article is all about that.

TECNO did a good job when it comes to packaging of the TECNO DroiPad II. The package is concise and fluent, with the name TECNO DroiPad II design and name on the front side and the TECNO logo on the top corner.
When you take the tablet out you are able to see what’s more outside the box. The first thing you see the DroiPad II tablet openly placed. Of course I curious to switch it on but that will have to wait. The TECNO DroiPad 8II tablet features an 8 inch screen with IPS display, which is similar to the previous model; the DroiPad 8H. Measuring 211 x 123 x 8.3 mm the tablet has an 8.0 –inch display with 800 x1280 pixels and IPS capacitive touch screen.
The tablet also has Smart Touch capabilities for Quick Start meaning you to get quick and direct access to the apps from the locked screen position
Trying to open the box further and the next thing you see is the USB cable, power adapter, two chargers (UK Standard Plug and European Standard Plug), and OTG cable.
Adding an OTG cable to the package was a nice move by TECNO. This means that you can use the OTG cable as a power bank to charge other mobile devices.
I had expected to see the TECNO pouch to be included in the box like all the other TECNO devices but unfortunately there is none, but I am sure it can be purchased separately.
Basically, that is all you have in the box, you shouldn’t expect more than that. Let’s now take a closer look at the device.
The Droipad 8II follows the style of TECNO mobile which always been to equip their devices with dual SIM card slots. The tablet features the dual sim slots (standard sim and micros sim). This makes it an easy thing for you to use your tablet for calling. The SD card slot is also located in the same location you have the sim card slots. Check the images below.
We will be looking at most of theTECNO Droipad 8II specifications later during our review but one thing you need to know that it is 4G enabled and runs on Android 5.1 lollipop, a 1GB RAM and a 16GB internal memory.
The Tablet is expected to be available for purchase at a retail price of Kshs.17,499 from the 13th of May. It will also be available in two colors: space gray and champaign gold. Keep it hear for a full review coming soon.
