TECNO to introduce the cheapest foldable phone dubbed Phantom V Fold

As foldable smartphones continue to gain prominence in the market, manufacturers are working hard to grab a piece of the pie.

Samsung has been a big player here and now Chinese phone maker TECNO has become the latest member to join the bandwagon. Reports indicate that the company is gearing to introduce its new foldable dubbed the Phantom V Fold.

The new phone has already received Bluetooth SIG certification. It’s expected to be loaded with Bluetooth 5.3 connectivity.

TECNO now enters a race that was pioneered by Samsung and has since attracted the likes of OPPO, Xiaomi, vivo, and Huawei.

This first foldable phone from TECNO is anticipated to be the cheapest of its kind in the market, although not much details have been revealed.

These developments come shortly after TECNO officially launched its latest device in the Phantom series, the Phantom X2 and the Phantom X2 Pro.  The two devices carry one of the most progressive chipset in the market, the 4nm MediaTek Dimensity 9000 5G.

The Chinese manufacturer continues to be a leader in the provision of affordable devices in emerging markets.  With the introduction of foldable phones, TECNO demonstrates readiness to cut a niche in the premium market, a strategy it has been developing over the last couple of years.
