Airtel Kenya Appoints Titus Naikuni to chair its Board of Directors


Bharti Airtel has appointed former Kenya Airways Chief Executive Titus Naikuni as their new Airtel Kenya’s board of directors chairman.

He joins the team  in the midst of tough competition in the Kenyan and  african mobile market.

“His wealth of experience will add immense value to the Board and provide strategic guidance to our operations in Kenya, to enable Airtel gain an important place in the Telecom sector in the country,” Christian de Faria, CEO, Airtel Africa said while announcing the appointment.

Mr. Naikuni holds a Bachelor of Science Honours Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Nairobi and is also a graduate of the Harvard Business School’s Management Development Program.

For the last six months, the position has been vacant after Naushad Merali, who had served the firm for 15 years retired.
