LG’s AI Direct Drive Washer TurboWash™ 360 feature explained

Owning a washing machine has now become a necessity in this day and age considering that washing clothes is one of the most dreaded and tedious tasks of our daily lives.

Wash machines are however making our lives much more relaxed and comfortable. You can wash your clothes without constant physical labor thus saving time.

Washing machines are available in a variety of colors, designs, capacities and features. Top load, front load, semi-automatic, fully automatic among other convenient features. Companies like LG Electronics, known for its continuous innovation and drive to bring products that suit today’s lifestyle have a wide variety of washing machines that are available locally for purchase at LG branded shops across the country.

LG AI Direct Drive Washing Machine is one of these washers. It was first unveiled at CES 2020 and even went ahead to win the CES Innovation Award.

The washer features some interesting specs including the TurboWash 360 which is what we will be talking about in this article.

Before you go to bring a washer there are so many things you need to consider. Is it a semi-automatic or fully-automatic machine? What are the wash settings and spin cycle? What is the load capacity and size? Does it come with a dryer among other considerations?

These are just some of the questions you need to ask yourself before walking into that shop and getting yourself a washer. Another important consideration should be the time a full wash cycle takes and this is what LG had in mind when it added a TurboWash 360 feature on its new AI DD washer.

LG TurboWash 360 as illustrated in the video below uses powerful jets to surround clothes from multiple angles so the detergent can penetrate deep into fabrics for a complete clean – even for big loads – in under 30 minutes. It reduces the washing time without compromising on cleanliness.

The 3D Multi Spray helps get clothes clean in less time by shooting jets of water in four different directions simultaneously for more stain-fighting coverage.

TurboWash 360  uses the power motion wash action system along with increased water temperatures to enhance and speed up the wash cycle. With TurboWash 360, you can also speed wash cycle on large loads unlike most speed wash cycles that only let you clean a few small items at a time. So, you’re actually speeding up the whole process, by washing more clothes in a single load, but without sacrificing the outstanding cleaning performance you’ve come to expect from LG

With TurboWash, LG says its goal was to design a product that could not only hold more clothes but also not sacrifice cleaning performance.
