Huawei Mobile Kenya has today announced the launch of the HUAWEI Y7p, the latest addition to the HUAWEI Y Series.

The phone comes with a 6.39-inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 720×1560 pixels. It is powered by a 1.7GHz octa-core HiSilicon Kirin 710F processor and comes with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. It runs Android 9 Pie and is powered by a 4000mAh battery. The phone is also equipped with a 48MP AI Triple Camera.

The phone doesn’t ship with Google Mobile Services but comes with Huawei Mobile Services (HMS), which include a range of essential smartphone features including the Huawei AppGallery, an app marketplace from which users can easily download apps. 

Speaking of the new device in the market, Huawei Mobile Kenya Country Head, Jim Zhujie said, The HUAWEI Y7p brings to the themed range segment a design ethos that makes it stand out from other commonly seen devices.

“In addition to this, the HUAWEI Y7p also brings to the table a wide range of smart features that give it an edge over other mid-range smartphones. This includes the famed GPU Turbo 3.0 for enhanced gaming graphics, video reminding for incoming calls and even HUAWEI 9.1 SKY stereo sound for a more immersive audio experience. ”

”It also comes with Huawei Mobile Services (HMS), making it the first device in the market to come with HMS. The service has a range of essential smartphone features like the Huawei AppGallery from where users can download and install their favorite apps.” he adds. 

The phone officially goes on sale today in Kenya in select stores across the country including Jumia at RRP Kshs 18,499.
