Bolt Business has recorded strong growth in Nigeria over the past year as more organizations turn to digital corporate mobility platforms to manage employee transportation and business travel.
The company said demand has increased across businesses of different sizes, with small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) among those increasingly adopting its platform as an alternative to maintaining in-house vehicle fleets or relying on multiple transport providers.
The growth reflected a wider trend in Nigeria’s corporate sector, where businesses are seeking to minimize transport costs, improve oversight of employee travel and streamline expense management through technology.
According to Bolt, its business mobility platform is now used by organizations operating in sectors including financial services, technology, healthcare, manufacturing, logistics, professional services, media and real estate. Companies using the platform include First Bank, Access Bank, Interswitch, Glovo, Chowdeck, Pfizer Specialties, IWOSAN Lagoon Hospitals, UAC Foods and ValueJet, among others.
Isaac Iroko, Country Manager for Bolt Business Nigeria, said businesses are increasingly looking for transport solutions that improve operational efficiency rather than simply providing employee mobility.
He noted that organisations are placing greater emphasis on reducing costs while gaining better visibility into corporate travel through features such as centralized billing, trip reporting, spending controls and real-time travel monitoring.
The shift comes as many businesses are reconsidering the costs associated with managing company-owned vehicle fleets. Digital mobility platforms are increasingly being adopted to simplify transport administration while offering greater control over travel expenses.
Bolt said it plans to expand its presence in Nigeria by developing solutions tailored to industries with high employee mobility requirements, including healthcare, financial services, legal services and logistics.
Further, industry analysts reiterated that the growing adoption of corporate mobility platforms highlights a broader digital transformation among Nigerian businesses, as companies increasingly invest in technology to improve operational efficiency and manage costs more effectively.
