Sony Unveils ULT Series in Kenya, Promising Next-Level Music Performance

Sony has announced the highly anticipated launch of its new ULT series of audio products in the Kenyan market.
The company says the series promises an unparalleled bass experience and immersive sound for music enthusiasts and party-goers alike.
This innovative lineup includes a range of powerful speakers, complete with a dedicated karaoke microphone, all designed to elevate the listening experience to new heights.
The ULT series is engineered to deliver profound and impactful bass, a hallmark of Sony’s commitment to audio excellence. Each product in the series features the prominent ULT button, offering users access to two distinct bass modes: ULT 1 for deeper, lower-frequency bass and ULT 2 for powerful, punchy bass.
“We are thrilled to introduce the ULT series to Kenya, a market with a vibrant and dynamic music culture,” said Jobin Joejoe, Managing Director – Sony Middle East & Africa FZE.
“This new lineup embodies our dedication to pushing the boundaries of audio innovation, providing an immersive and visceral sound experience that truly resonates with our customers. We believe the ULT series will redefine how Kenyans experience their favourite music—whether at home, on the go, or at a social gathering,” he added.
The new Sony ULT series caters to a variety of audio needs, from powerful party speakers to portable audio companions. The ULT Tower 9 and ULT Tower 9AC deliver massive bass and unrivalled sound pressure, making them the ideal party speaker models. They come equipped with features such as karaoke and guitar inputs. The wireless ULT Tower 9 allows for portability, while the AC-powered ULT Tower 9AC delivers even more powerful sound. With the ULT button, users can access two dynamic bass modes. The ULT Tower 9 boasts a 25-hour battery life and even allows users to charge their mobile devices. The ULT Tower 9AC, designed with an AC connection and no built-in battery, offers enhanced sound pressure for an even more powerful experience.
The ULT Field 5 features an X-Balanced Speaker Unit that produces clear, powerful sound, with a tweeter that delivers crisp and spacious high frequencies. Passive radiators have been optimized to enhance bass performance. The ULT Field 3 offers strong bass in a compact and durable design, built to be shockproof and withstand everyday use.
For aspiring vocalists, the ULT MIC 1 microphone delivers crystal-clear vocals and is perfect for karaoke enthusiasts. It is designed to pair seamlessly with the ULT Power Sound series speakers to provide a fun, immersive singing experience.
“This strategic launch in Kenya underscores Sony’s long-term commitment to the East African market, and we anticipate this ULT series will contribute to the local economy through increased retail activity and the potential for new distribution partnerships with various dealers. Our investment in this market reflects our confidence in its future and our dedication to providing high-quality products that meet evolving consumer demands,” said Haresh Gokaldas, Director – Anisuma Traders Limited.
The Sony ULT Power Sound series is not only designed to deliver powerful sound but also reflects Sony’s commitment to sustainability. No plastics are used in the packaging material for the ULT Field 5, ULT Field 3, and ULT MIC 1, aligning with Sony’s environmental goals to reduce its ecological footprint.
The ULT series will be available at authorized Sony retailers across Kenya starting 15th July 2025, with prices ranging from KES 55,000 to KES 135,000.
