Zuri Health raises an undisclosed amount for funding from Five35 Ventures

Six months after raising an undisclosed amount of funding from Moroccan VC UM6P Ventures, Kenyan health-tech startup Zuri Health has yet again raised another undisclosed amount. This latest round of funding came from Five35 Ventures, an early-stage venture capital firm investing in female-focused startups in Africa.

Zuri Health is a health-tech company that aims to provide accessible and personalized healthcare solutions to individuals worldwide. Their digital platform offers a comprehensive suite of health services, empowering users to take control of their well-being through innovative technology and expert guidance.

Five35 Ventures is known for its astute investments in disruptive startups across the region. According to a statement, the decision to invest in Zuri Health further demonstrates their confidence in the company’s vision and potential.

By backing Zuri Health, a telemedicine company, Five35 Ventures seeks to fuel the growth and expansion of the digital health platform, enabling it to reach a wider audience and make a lasting impact on global healthcare delivery.

“We are thrilled to have the support of Five35 Ventures in our journey to transform healthcare. This investment will enable us to scale our platform and bring our innovative health services to more people in need. With the backing of Five35 Ventures, we are confident in our ability to revolutionize how healthcare is accessed and experienced worldwide.”  Titilola Olaolu-Hassan, Co-Founder of Zuri Health, said.

Digital health solutions like Zuri Health’s platform have become increasingly vital in providing convenient and efficient healthcare services as the healthcare landscape evolves.

“We are excited to join forces with Zuri Health and support their mission of democratizing healthcare through digital innovation,” said Hema Vallabh, Founding Partner at Five35 Ventures. “Their team has demonstrated exceptional expertise and dedication in developing a platform that addresses the evolving needs of patients and healthcare providers. We look forward to partnering with them to revolutionize how people access and experience healthcare services.”

The funding comes a few months after Zuri launched a new digital outpatient service designed specifically for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).

Known as Zuricare, the service aims to provide affordable, accessible, and convenient healthcare to SME employees and their dependents. With this innovative digital solution, employees can consult with licensed doctors, therapists, and nutritionists via video or phone call, 24/7 from the comfort of their homes or offices.

The company says the new investment from Five35 Ventures will help it expand its reach and enhance its technological infrastructure and attract top talent to accelerate product development and innovation.
