Itel P40 with 6000mAh Battery, Dual Rear Cameras Launched in Kenya for Ksh 11,800


Itel has added a new addition to its P series, the Itel P40 in Kenya. The 4G smartphone will be available for purchase in the country starting today for Ksh.11,800. 

The phone comes with a number of interesting features for a budget phone including a massive 6,000mAh battery with support for 18W fast charging. The company claims the battery supports 15 days of standby, 32 hours of calling, 62 hours of music playing and 8 hours of gaming time.

Compared to the previous itel P series smartphone, the P40 comes with a memory upgrade to support large data storage and multiple applications switch. It offers two memory model choices: 64+7GB and 64+4GB.

The phone is powered by an octa-core Unisoc SC9863A SoC.

Itel P40 runs on Android 12 (Go edition) and sports a 6.6-inch HD+ (720 x 1,612 pixels) IPS display.  The display comes with a waterdrop-style notch for housing the selfie camera.

For the optics, the Itel P40 sports a dual rear camera setup with LED flash that includes a 13-megapixel sensor with f/1.85 aperture. A 5-megapixel sensor at the front takes care of selfies and video calls. The selfie camera supports software features including an AI Beauty mode.

You’re also getting a number of shooting modes, including Pro Mode, Panorama Mode and Time-lapse Mode.

As we mentioned, the Itel P40 will be available at a recommended retail price of Ksh 11,800 from all authorized mobile retail outlets countrywide.
