LG’s First Curved Gaming Monitor With 240Hz OLED Display Unveiled

If you’re an avid PC gamer, curved gaming monitors are worth considering. Of course, the market offers you so many options to choose from if you’re looking to buy one. And now LG is adding to these options with its new ultra-wide gaming monitor.

The company on Monday unveiled its first curved 45-inch OLED display (model 45GR95QE) with a 240Hz refresh rate ahead of IFA 2022. LG says the monitor is designed for immersive gaming experiences while offering excellent visual performance, speed and features serious gamers demand.

Honestly speaking, the 240Hz refresh rate and 0.1 gray-to-gray response time should really make it a good buy.

“ We’re excited to debut both of these exceptional products at IFA and to be back on the ground in Berlin after a two-year break due to the pandemic showcasing our portfolio of innovative products that meets the needs and lifestyles of today’s diverse consumers”. Senior vice president and head of the IT business unit of LG Electronics Business Solutions Company Seo Young-jae said.

Away from the huge refresh rate, the new ultrawide gaming monitor also features a 21:9 aspect ratio and a WQHD resolution (3,440 x 1,440). It has an 800R curvature as well to increase immersion. We are also getting an HDMI 2.1 port with support for variable refresh rates, and an additional DisplayPort 1.4 connector.

The monitor also comes with an in-built picture-by-picture and picture-in-picture modes for displaying content from multiple sources side-by-side.
