Vivo partners with Jumia for vivo Y30 launch in Kenya


Vivo recently announced plans to launch yet another device under its Y series, the vivo Y30 in Kenya. The device is finally here and vivo is partnering with Jumia for the launch.

The vivo Y30 will be exclusively available on Jumia for Ksh.16,999.

We are aiming to offer more options for smartphones with high-quality standard and comprehensive functionality through JUMIA to fulfill the increasing demand of Kenyan consumers’’ said Mr. Arthur Xian, vivo Kenya CEO.

The launch of the new device is also set to increase smartphone penetration in the country, fast-tracking JUMIA’s vision to drive digital inclusion in Africa.

The vivo Y30 features a 6.47-inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 720×1560 pixels and an aspect ratio of 19.5:9. Vivo Y30 is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio P35 (MT6765) processor and comes with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage.

The Vivo Y30 runs Funtouch OS based on Android 10 and is powered by a 5000mAh non-removable battery.

For the cameras, the Vivo Y30 on the rear packs a 13-megapixel primary camera with an f/2.2 aperture; a second 8-megapixel camera with an f/2.2 aperture; a third 2-megapixel camera with an f/2.4 aperture and a fourth 2-megapixel camera with an f/2.4 aperture. The selfie camera is 8-megapixel.

The device will be available in two variant colours in the Kenyan market, the Emerald Black and the Moonstone White. You can buy it on Jumia here.
