Tecno WinPad 2 Unboxing and first impressions

It’s been a week since Tecno Mobile unveiled the WinPad 2 into the market. In the first article, we did we gave you a sneak preview of what to expect. The tablet is a complete upgrade from the WinPad and features some great software and design improvements which make is pretty better.

In this article, we are going to unbox it and share some pictures of what you should basically expect in case you choose to buy the Tecno WinPad 2.

Tecno WinPad 2 package

This device comes in a sleek, rectangular sealed white box. It’s a huge box and this already gives you an impression of a large device. A quick look at the back indicates some amazing features with a picture of the WinPad 2 on the cover of the box.

Here is a brief overview of the specifications:

  • Runs on Windows 10 OS
  • 1.92GHz Intel Quad-core processor.
  • 2GB RAM + 64GB ROM
  • 3G Data Network
  • 7000mAh battery capacity.
  • 5MP Back Camera with auto-focus.
  • 2MP Front Camera.
  • Micro SIM slot
  • Micro SD slot

What’s inside the box?

The first thing you come into contact with when you remove the cover of the box is the amazing rectangular WinPad 2 tablet with curved edges. The screen is covered with a protective guard with the tablet’s specifications highlighted on it.

These are the accessories that come with the Tecno WinPad 2:

  • Detachable keyboard.
  • Travel adaptor with a three pin connector and a two pin connector.
  • USB charge cable
  • Leather WinPad Jacket and
  • User guide.


The USB cable and a mini parcel containing the user manual and a warranty card are located in a separate compartment.


On a second compartment of the box is a detachable keyboard wrapped in a transparent nylon. Beside it, we have the regular plug charger, two and three pin charger with a power adaptor.


On the last compartment is where we have a white parcel which contains a beautiful leather pouch for the WinPad 2.



External features

The power button, volume, earphone jack, USB slot and a mini HDMI slot are located on the right side of the tablet.



The USB port, Micro SD, and Micro SIM slot are located at the bottom of the WinPad 2.


Behind the WinPad 2, we have the 5.0 MP camera and a barcode scanner.


First impression.


I love the Tecno WinPad 2. It comes in a nice package and I love the fact that it is very light and stylish and this makes it really stand out from all the other Tecno tablets I have reviewed here. What makes it more interesting is that it’s a Tablet-Pc can be a good office companion. We will be having a full review of the device next week for more details.
