Infinix HOT S, Next device from Infinix Mobile will feature a fingerprint scanner

Infinix Mobile is launching yet another device and well, it comes with a name most of us never expected. The device will be known as the Infinix HOT S.

Not much has been said about the device but from what I have gathered while reading the interwebs the phone will feature a fingerprint scanner. According to reports, the device will also feature VR technology and according to Infinix Authority will be the first phone from Infinix to have a fingerprint scanner and VR technology.

Leaked specs and images suggest the device will feature a 5.2’’ full HD screen, a 13MP and 8MP back and front camera respectively featuring LED flash.

The HOT S will also be running on the latest Android version 6.0 Marshmallow and will be powered by MediaTek Helio P10 octa-core 64 bit processor clocking at a speed of either 1.5GHz or 1.8GHz, with Mali-T860 GPU.

Other leaked specs include a 6GB internal storage and it is expected the phone will come 2GB/16GB version and 3GB/32GB version and both are expected to feature 4G LTE. It will also have come with a 3000mAh.

We are not sure the above leaks but again they should not be ignored. Infinix has recently been launching a range of devices into the African market. The last time we heard such rumours when Infix was planning to launch a new device into the market they turned out be true.

The use of Biometrics such as fingerprints scanners in mobile devices have become increasingly common, with Apple’s iPhone and iPad, Samsung’s Galaxy line of smartphones, HTC among other smartphone manufacturing companies all using fingerprint scanners as a method of unlocking devices. The move by Infinix to adopt this technology puts them in a good position to compete with these brands in the global market.

Infinix has not yet commented on when it plans to unveil the device but as usual we will sure keep you up to date with any information we lay our hands on.
