Tech Mahindra puts 12,500 employees through Gemini Enterprise training

Tech Mahindra is putting more than 12,500 of its employees through hands-on training on Google Cloud’s Gemini Enterprise, a push to close the gap between companies experimenting with AI agents and companies actually running them in production.

The Indian IT services firm announced the expansion of its partnership with Google Cloud this week. Staff will take part in “Build with Gemini,” a workshop that teaches them to create, secure, and govern AI agents using Gemini Enterprise tools, including Agent Runtime, Agent Gateway and Model Armor. Employees who finish the program earn a Google Cloud Skill Badge.

The rollout reflects a broader shift in the enterprise market. Many large organizations have spent the past couple of years running AI pilots and they are now asking for partners who can take those projects live. Tech Mahindra says it is responding by pairing certified people with solutions it has already built, rather than treating training and delivery as separate efforts.

“Enterprise AI will scale only when organizations can combine technology innovation with the talent and delivery capability required to put it into production. Together with Google Cloud, we are building that capability by combining hands-on Gemini Enterprise expertise with industry solutions, agents and real-world deployment experience. This strengthens our ability to help clients move faster from AI ambition to measurable outcomes, consistent with our AI Delivered Right approach,” said Pramod Panda, Chief Learning Officer, Tech Mahindra.

Google Cloud sees the same pattern from its side. “Enterprises are shifting rapidly from AI experimentation to deployment, were domain expertise and robust engineering matter most. By scaling Gemini Enterprise, Tech Mahindra equips its global teams to build, deploy and govern agentic AI solutions. Together, we are helping joint customers accelerate innovation and drive business value with Google Cloud,” said Kelly Rogan, Vice President, Global System Integrators Partnerships, Google Cloud.

The workshop is designed as an immersive, practical session, and what participants learn is meant to carry straight into client projects. It also feeds into Tech Mahindra’s wider “AI Delivered Right” strategy, which centers on turning AI advances into outcomes that are responsible, secure and measurable.

The training sits on top of work the company has already done. Tech Mahindra has deployed Gemini Enterprise in complex client environments and built industry specific agentic AI solutions for telecommunications, financial services, manufacturing, retail and other sectors. Several of these industry solutions are listed on Google Cloud Marketplace, which gives customers a quicker route to adopting enterprise AI tools built for everyday business conditions.

For clients, the practical upside is a larger pool of certified engineers who can move from concept to live deployment without a long ramp-up. For Tech Mahindra and Google Cloud, it strengthens a partnership aimed at helping businesses build skills, solutions and delivery capacity needed to run agentic AI at scale.
