Oppo Find X2 Series Officially Announced with an Impressive 120Hz QHD+ display and 65W Fast Charging

As previously planned, Oppo has officially announced its new Find series device. The smartphone itself is the Oppo Find X2. The phone comes in two variants; a base Find X2 and a Pro version.

The display is a 6.7-inch QHD+( 3168 x 1440) AMOLED screen refreshing at 120fps with Gorilla Glass 6 on top for protection. The interesting bit about the display is that it can do 120fps at QHD+ resolution, and not limited to FHD+ like in Samsung’s Galaxy S20 series.

The phone has some good work done on the display offering up to 60fps video playback when streaming Netflix, YouTube, and Prime Video. Oh, and it maxes out at 1200nits.

The memory is 12GB LPDDR5 and you get a minimum of 256GB of fast-type UFS 3.0 storage to store your media files.

To keep up with the current flagship devices, Oppo Find X2 has those additional features like fast charging(up to 65W, wired), IP68 dust and water resistance, 7nm Snapdragon 865 chipset, 5G and WIFI 6.0 support and stereo speakers.

In the camera department, Find X2 Pro has three sensors at the back: a 48MP primary sensor from Sony(Sony IMX689), another 48MP wide-angle lens(120 degrees FOV) and a 13MP zoom lens delivering 10x hybrid zoom and up to 60x digital zoom.

For the Find X2, Oppo has tucked in a Sony’s last year 48MP IMX586 flagship sensor, working in tow with a 12MP wide-angle lens and a 13MP zoom lens. Both phones have a single 32MP selfie camera placed in a hole punch.

Because the battery juice is an important factor as well, Oppo Find X2 has a 4200mAh one while the Find X2 Pro has a battery with 4260mAh in capacity. With the 63W fast charger, the phone goes from zero to full(100%) in just 38 minutes, says Oppo. Both phones have ColorOS 7.1 based on Android 10 out-of-the-box and with either Black Ceramic or Orange vegan leather paint jobs.

Putting all of these together, Oppo has an asking price of €999 in Europe for the base model (12GB RAM/256GBROM) and €1,199 for the Find X2 Pro.

Converting these figures into local currency translates to roughly Ksh 115,000 for Oppo Find X2 and Ksh 140,000 for Find X2 Pro. Ladies and gentlemen, smartphone prices are getting outrageously normal. The duo will be available in Europe and other global markets in the coming months.
