Huawei Q3’ 19 Results Show The Company is Still Doing Well Despite US Ban

Huawei has been under the limelight since the US ban back in May. Although the US eased up the ban, that only allowed the company to continue supporting its existing telco customers.

In general, Huawei’s business is doing fine with the company generating CNY610.8 billion (approx. $86 billion) in revenue, an increase of 24.4% year-on-year. The net profit margin for Q3 2019 still stood at 8.7%.

Since January, the company has shipped a total of $185 million smartphones, up 26% year-on-year. Other product categories from the company performed well, also. Huawei says there was “rapid growth” in its other product categories like PCs, tablets, wearables, and smart audio products.

In its carrier business, the company has to date signed over 60 5G commercial contracts globally. Huawei says the have also shipped 400,000 5G Massive MIMO active antenna units (AAUs). Besides, production and supply of the company’s optical transmission, data communications, and IT products grew steadily, as well.

Huawei’s Enterprise business has also launched a mission to work with customers and partners to build a digital foundation for the world. That is courtesy of a newly launched service dubbed Huawei Horizon Digital Platform.

On Huawei’s own mobile ecosystem (Huawei Mobile Service), the company says it now covers 170 countries with a total of over 1.07 million developers globally.
