Oppo Reno8 Series Set for Kenya Launch


Oppo has announced plans to launch its Oppo Reno8 series in Kenya comprising the regular Reno8 and the Reno8 5G.

The new line-up of smartphones will be launched in Nairobi on Tuesday, 25 October 2022. The devices succeed the Reno7 series that the company unveiled in the country in April this year.

“Oppo Reno8 series is our most ambitious smartphone model yet. Offering ultra-fast, ultra-powerful connectivity and high-end technology that works. It incorporates world-class updates into a usable device that upgrades the consumer’s daily digital efficiencies” Oppo Kenya said in a statement. 

What to expect

Oppo says it will soon announce the specs and other details about the features of the upcoming series.

As far as we know though, the Reno8 will come with a 90 Hz refresh rate 6.43-inch touchscreen display offering a resolution of 2400×1080 pixels (FHD+). The phone will be powered by an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 1300 processor. It will come with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of inbuilt storage. . The Oppo Reno8  will run Android 12 and will be powered by a 4500mAh battery with support for Oppo’s 33W SUPERVOOC charge.

For the cameras are concerned, the Oppo Reno8 will feature a triple camera setup featuring a 50-megapixel (f/1.8) primary camera; a 2-megapixel (f/2.2) camera, and a 2-megapixel (f/2.4, macro) camera. It will also have a single front camera setup for selfies, featuring a 32-megapixel sensor with an f/2.4 aperture.

Reno8 5G  will feature a faster 80W SUPERVOOCTM  Flash Charge and OPPO’s exclusive Battery HealthEngine.

As the portrait expert, Oppo says the Reno8 5G is Powered by Dual Sony Flagship Sensors and several AI-enhanced imaging features such as Ultra Night Video and Night Portrait. It adopts a flagship-level Streamlined Unibody Design by integrating the camera module and the back cover making it appear smooth and seamless.

Oppo has not revealed details about the Oppo Reno8 Series pricing yet.
