Microsoft is working on a new service called Microsoft WiFi, that will provide internet services to users everywhere. According to details at microsoftwifi.com, which has since been pulled down, the service has been described as offering “hassle-free Internet access around the world” so users can be “productive on the go.”

According to an article posted on Venture Beat, the new service, was first spotted online by Twitter user WalkingCat, who also first noticed the OneClip app  which has since been replaced with a “Coming Soon” graphic.

Microsoft representative however confirmed to Venture Beat that the service was indeed is forthcoming.

“We can confirm that we are working on a new service, called Microsoft WiFi, that will bring hassle-free Wi-Fi to millions,” a representative said. “We look forward to sharing additional detail when available.”

The Microsoft WiFi app will be a cross-platform affair as it has been common with the most recent Microsoft initiatives. Before it was pulled down, Venture Beat claims it saw Microsoft WiFi app downloads links for Windows, Mac, Android, iOS, and Windows Phone.

All we can do now is just wait for an official statement from the company.
