Liquid Intelligent Technologies has appointed Bernard Beya as Chief Executive Officer for its Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) operations, effective 1 April 2026.
The appointment comes as the DRC expands its digital economy through growing investment in connectivity, cloud services and digital transformation.
Beya, who brings more than two decades of experience in telecommunications, joined Liquid Intelligent Technologies as Chief Financial Officer in September 2022. He was named Acting CEO in November 2025, overseeing the company’s strategic, commercial and operational activities in the country before his confirmation to the top role.
Sutha Siva, Executive Vice President and Group Chief Operating Officer at Cassava Technologies, described the DRC as one of the group’s most promising markets for growth, calling Beya’s appointment significant to that trajectory.
“His deep understanding of the local market, combined with his commitment to customer success and operational excellence, will help accelerate our ambitions to expand digital infrastructure and enable greater economic growth across the country,” Siva said.
Beya said his immediate focus would be on building on the company’s operational and financial progress while delivering greater value to customers and partners.
“I am honoured to lead Liquid DRC’s next phase of growth. Our priority is to build on the strong operational and financial foundation we have established to deliver greater value for our customers and partners. As a business of Cassava Technologies, we can expand access to reliable connectivity, cloud, cybersecurity, colocation and compute AI for our customers. We can play a meaningful role in accelerating digital transformation for the country’s enterprises, government and communities,” he said.
The leadership change comes as demand for enterprise digital solutions continues to rise across the DRC. Liquid Intelligent Technologies said it is positioning itself to support organisations with services that improve connectivity, strengthen cybersecurity and enable the adoption of cloud and artificial intelligence solutions.
As the DRC pursues broader digital transformation through investment in infrastructure, connectivity and digital skills, Liquid says it aims to play a larger role in enabling inclusive economic growth while supporting the country’s long-term digital ambitions.
