OPPO A78 With Snapdragon 680 SoC, FHD+ AMOLED Screen Launched in Kenya: Price, Specifications

OPPO A78 is available in Aqua Green and Mist Black colour options


OPPO on Tuesday announced the launch of the new OPPO A78 smartphone in Kenya.  Featuring an upgraded FHD+ AMOLED Display, Dual Stereo Speakers, 67W SUPERVOOC flash charge and a 5000mAh large battery, OPPO says the A78 is built to deliver seamlessly smooth performance.

The handset is powered by a Snapdragon 680 SoC from Qualcomm paired with 8GB + 256GB ROM configuration with up to 1TB of additional storage through the SD card slot. 

OPPO A78 runs on ColorOS 13.1 out-of-the-box.

For the cameras, the OPPO A78 features a 50-megapixel primary camera, a 2-megapixel depth sensor, along with an 8-megapixel front-facing camera for selfies and video calls.

The OPPO A78 is available in two colour options in Kenya –  Aqua Green and Mist Black.

The handset sports a 6.42-inch full-HD+ (1,080 x 2,400 pixels) AMOLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate.

Alongside the OPPO A78, OPPO Kenya has also introduced the; OPPO A58- Featuring a 33W SUPERVOOCTM charging, a 5000mAh Large Battery, enhanced hardware, and the intuitive ColorOS 13.1. The phone will be available in 2 colours Glowing Black and Dazzling Green. 

Additionally, OPPO also introduced OPPO A98 5G featuring a 67W SUPERVOOCTM charging, the same 5,000mAh battery, and OPPO’s Battery Health Engine. The phone comes equipped with an  120Hz Silky Smooth Large Screen, RAM Expansion technology, and the latest ColorOS 13.1.

OPPO says the A98 5G delivers an incredibly fast and smooth experience from start to finish. It will come in 2 colours Cool Black, Dreamy Blue.

Market Availability

The new OPPO A series are currently available for purchase across all oppo Stores countrywide and E-Commerce platforms at a Recommended Retail price (RRP) of Ksh 29,999 for the OPPO A58, Ksh34,999 for the OPPO A78 and Ksh45,999 for the OPPO A98.
