Xiaomi Redmi A2+ launches in Kenya for Ksh. 10,499

Xiaomi today announced the official launch of Redmi A2+ in Kenya. The entry-level device will be available for purchase in the country starting today at Ksh.10,499.

The Redmi A2+ is the direct successor to the Redmi A1+ (Unboxing video) that was launched in the country in October last year.

Just like its predecessor, it’s an Android Go smartphone making it the third smartphone from Xiaomi to run this stripped down version of Android.

With the launch of Redmi A2+, Xiaomi says it’s raising the bar for the segment by making exceptional performance available at a highly affordable price.

Redmi A2+ Specs

The phone comes with a 6.52-inch touchscreen display offering a resolution of 1600×720 pixels (HD+) and an aspect ratio of 20:9.

Redmi A2+ comes with 3GB of RAM and packs 32GB of inbuilt storage that can be expanded to up to 1TB via a microSD card.

It’s an  Android Go Edition device and is powered by a MediaTek Helio G36 processor and a 5,000mAh battery.

As far as the cameras are concerned, the Redmi A2+ on the rear packs an 8-megapixel camera with an f/f2.2 aperture. It has a single front camera setup for selfies, featuring a 5-megapixel sensor with an f/f/2.2 aperture.

Xiaomi Redmi A2+ will be available in Kenya starting today in Black,  Light Green, and Light Blue color options.
