Kris Senanu leaves Safaricom

Safaricom’s Chief Enterprise Business Officer Kris Senanu has left the company. According to a statement from the telco, Kris’ last working day is 31st May 2022 as he leaves to ”pursue other interests outside Safaricom”

Kris joined Safaricom in June 2021 from Telkom Kenya where he served as the Managing Director in the Digital Service Delivery Unit. During his time at Safaricom,

”Kris was instrumental in implementing Enterprise Business Unit’s first Mission, and development of the division’s second Mission.” Safaricom CEO Peter Ndegwa said in a statement.

”During his time, he has re-established and enhanced Safaricom as a leader in the Enterprise space, grown the mobility business, and initiated digital transformation initiatives to enable SME DIY platforms. Kris has also worked to reduce the Enterprise Fixed churn.” the statement further reads.

Following this, Safaricom says Joseph Wanjohi will act as interim Chief Enterprise Business Officer from 1st June 2022.

Joseph joined Safaricom in 2003 as the Sector Manager for Manufacturing and Energy. Since then, he has held various roles as Senior Manager Multinationals, Corporate Sales, Energy, Media and ICT before being appointed to his current role of Head of Enterprise Sales in 2017.
