Telkom Kenya Revamps its Home Plan Data Bundles to Offer More

After revamping its Pawa voice bundles, Telkom's home plan data packages have been revised, too.

Telkom Kenya has revamped its daily, monthly, and unlimited home plan data bundles. The revamp will see Telkom’s prepaid customers receive more data on the revised offers.

A few weeks ago, Telkom also revised its Pawa voice bundles providing its customers with more value for the same price.

Earlier this year, the company also sweetened its data offerings offering up to double data.

For the newly revamped home plan data bundles, here’s what you get;

Offer Name Validity (Days) Price (KSh) Bundles
Daily 5GB 1 250 5GB
Monthly 10GB 30 1000 12GB
Monthly 30GB 30 2000 30GB
Monthly 50GB 30 3000 50GB
Unlimited 30 4000 Unlimited*
Unlimited Plus 30 5500 Unlimited*
90 Day 100GB 90 6,000 100GB

Unlimited bundles have a Fair Usage Policy (FUP) to ensure customers don’t abuse the offers. For instance, on the Unlimited package, customers will be able to use 13.3GB daily at full speeds. Once you hit the 13.3GB FUP limit, your connection speeds will be reduced.

For Unlimited Plus, the daily cap is at 16.6GB daily.

Telkom says that the speed limits will ensure connection speeds at peak hours are not throttled (slowed down).

“These bundle revisions were informed by customer feedback on the need to provide them with bundle options that will support their evolving consumption habits,” said Telkom’s Director, Marketing, Mr. Eric ACHOLA.

The company notes the increasing data use in the country due to the new normal.

“Now more than ever, telcos need to play their part in keeping their customers connected. The revision of our data limits and the FUP for both our daily and Unlimited plans means our customers will be getting more value from us.”
