Apple could be launching its long-anticipated large-screen iPhone 6 on September 9 if reports by the online news site Re/code on Tuesday are anything to go by.
Re/Code reported that the event would be to announce Apple’s next-generation iPhones, with screen sizes stretched to 4.7 and 5.5 inches and with a faster A8 processors.
Apple has not commented anything about the speculations yet.
Reports have also suggested that the two versions of the iPhone 6, the 4.7 and 5.5 inches are expected to use in-cell touch panel technology – built into the screen and allowing for thinner construction than with standard touch panel films – that was introduced with the iPhone 5.
Previously, the company had asked its suppliers to manufacture between 70 million and 80 million of its two forthcoming large-screen iPhones by the end of the year and September 9th could just be the date.
