Vivo V19 With A Dual Punch Hole Camera Is Coming To Kenya

Vivo is bringing the vivo V19 smartphone to Kenya. The phone was first introduced in April globally and is now set to be available in the Kenyan market from June 24th.

The V19 is the successor of the V17 smartphone series with one of the key selling point the company is making so much noise about being the Dual Punch Hole Camera. This will actually be the first-ever Dual Punch Hole Camera phone to be launched in the local market.

Just like all vivo V-series flagships, the upcoming vivo V19 will be a camera-centric smartphone that will focus on improvements in low light photography.

“vivo is committed to innovating with the consumer in mind, and V19 reflects our deep understanding of consumers’ needs. With industry-leading selfie technology, a beautiful design, and strong performance, V19 is perfect for young consumers who care about camera and entertainment features,”  Arthur Xian, vivo Smartphone Kenya CEO says.

Other expected features include a 6.44-inch full-HD+ (1,080×2,400 pixels) Super AMOLED hole-punch display with an in-display fingerprint sensor. The phone is powered by Snapdragon 712 processor, paired with 8GB RAM and up to 256GB of storage option.

For your imaging needs the vivo V19 comes with an L-shaped quad rear camera with a LED flash placed on the top left corner of the phone. The setup packs a 48-megapixel main shooter with f/1.79 aperture, an 8-megapixel wide-angle camera with f/2.2 aperture, and two 2-megapixel cameras with f/2.4 aperture for macro and bokeh functions.

The Dual Punch Hole Camera setup is housed in a pill-shaped cutout and features a 32-megapixel main camera and an 8-megapixel secondary camera. Features include super night selfie, super wide-angle selfie, ultra-stable video, and much more which we will definitely try out when vivo sends us a review unit.

Vivo has also added its exclusive Dual-Engine Fast Charging capability for V19’s 4500mAh battery.

‘’With the device, vivo continues with its innovative streak by introducing several ‘firsts’ in one of the most competitive consumer markets. From the world’s first slimmest phone to the first in-display fingerprint and many more. ‘’ a statement from the company’s local office reads.

We’re not really sure about the pricing yet but we will keep updating this article as soon as we get clear communication from the company.
