vivo V19: Our Four Favorite Features

Vivo launched the vivo V19 smartphone in the local market back in July this year. Vivo is selling the Dual Punch Hole Camera phone at Kshs 40,999 and it’s available in Gleam Black and Sleek Silver options.

The device which we have been using for some few weeks now comes with some interesting specs that most consumers are always looking for in a smartphone. – an advanced camera, a long-lasting battery, solid performance, a good design and much more.

Vivo tried to get everything right with the vivo V19. The company describes the phone as a breakthrough product that features advanced technology. We already did the unboxing video which you can check below.

If you’re a diehard vivo fan of vivo smartphones, the V19 is a great consideration because it comes with a number of improvements compared to its predecessors.

In this article, we look at some of our favourite features on the vivo V19 that would actually make us openly spend some Ksh.41,0000 on the gadget.

Dual Front Camera

Just like all the vivo V-series flagships, the vivo V19 is a camera-centric smartphone. The phone is equipped with a Dual Punch-Hole Selfie Camera that includes a 32 MP camera and an 8 MP Super Wide-Angle Selfie camera. The 32 MP selfie camera captures details with brilliant clarity, while the 105˚ Wide-Angle lens enables users to record more of what they want to share on their socials.

The Dual Punch Hole Camera setup is housed in a pill-shaped cutout. The camera features include but not limited to: super night selfie, super wide-angle selfie and ultra-stable video. Check some sample selfie shots we took below.

The Quad Camera at the rear is made up of a 48MP main camera, 8MP super wide-angle camera, 2MP macro camera, and 2MP Bokeh camera.

Super AMOLED Ultra O Screen

The vivo V19 is equipped with a 6.44-inch Super AMOLED FHD+ Ultra O Screen, made from superior E3 OLED and features the 100 per cent DCI-P3 color gamut, which brings vibrant colors to life. What’s more, the display’s brightness auto-adjusts to suit ambient light levels that further optimize your view. Offering a level of comfort that one needs to experience to truly appreciate,  V19’s TÜV Rheinland Low Blue Light Content certification ensures that the smartphone filters 42 per cent more harmful blue light than the E2 OLED.

The Low Brightness Anti-Flicker technology goes the extra mile to protect your eyes. We loved this.

Ergonomically-designed 3D curves

The vivo V19 fits the palm of the hand perfectly. The Ergonomically-designed 3D curves offer absolute comfort, while Corning Gorilla Glass 6 on the back cover embodies stylish sophistication. V19 is also available in two editions. If you’re seeking to embrace elegance you can opt for the classic Gleam Black edition which is what we had as our review unit. There’s also the Sleek Silver edition which looks pretty good as much.

FlashCharge 2.0

The vivo V19 features 33W vivo FlashCharge 2.0 technology and a 4500 mAh battery and can be charged from 0 per cent to 54 per cent in just 30 minutes. This is impressive.

For  1 hour and 15 minutes, your phone will be fully charged

The super capacity battery keeps on-the-go users powered through the entire day and constant use without worrying about running out of juice.
