Samsung Galaxy Tab 6 to be Officially Announced Today

As usual to the South Korean tech giant, Samsung, the Galaxy Tablet is often launched before the #Unpacked event of the Note Series. And this year, it’s no different. Samsung has officially tipped that indeed their new tablet, Galaxy Tab 6, will be launching today. The Galaxy Tab 6 is expected to be a close competitor to Apple’s iPad slated to be launched later this year.

The most anticipated part is the design with previous renders showing even bezels on all four sides, which looks impressive.

The most crucial point is that Samsung’s new tablet is expected to run on Qualcomm’s flagship Snapdragon 855 SoC. Galaxy Tab 6 is also proposedly one of Samsung’s tablets that will feature a dual-camera setup on the rear. If true, it will be the first tablet in the world with Dual rear cameras. And without forgetting, the stylus pen is still available.

The display may probably be 10.5-inch, and the company may opt for its own OLED screen technology which will be first ever to be featured on a tablet. Tablets just like laptops have been using the IPS LCD screen technology since the beginning and nobody has bothered to opt for OLED, until recently.  Other rumored specs include either 6 or 8GB of RAM paired with either 128GB or 256GB of internal storage.

Samsung Galaxy Tab 6 teaser video also hinted the next Galaxy Active 2 Smart Watch, which will be unveiled on August 5th. Then of course on August 7th is the mega launch of the Galaxy Note 10/Note 10+.
