Infinix Zero X Might Feature a Helio G96 Chipset

We have already seen a number of devices from Infinix Mobile being unveiled this year and it looks like the company is gearing up to launch yet another device.

Not much is being said on what we should expect but latest leaks suggest that the company could be working on a new device in its ZERO series. Infinix might call this phone the Infinix ZERO X and it will be the successor to the Infinix ZERO 8 that was launched locally in September last year.

According to leaks and images shared by XDA, recently the Infinix ZERO X will be a complete upgrade from its predecessor featuring better specs and a pretty good design. Remember the Infinix Zero 8 bagged the iF Design Award 2021 due to its “minimalist yet exquisite design finish” and spectacular choice of materials, so we are really curious to see what Infinix has in store with the ZERO X.

I also need to mention that we might be seeing two devices in this series – the Infinix Zero X and a Pro version as has been the norm with Infinix.

Images shared by XDA reveal a speckled back cover with a rectangular camera setup at the top right corner with three sensors that might comprise a 108MP main camera. There’s also some Infinix branding at the bottom left.

For the selfie, we might be getting a 16MP selfie shooter.

The teasers also suggest that the device could pack MediaTek’s Helio G96 chipset, a massive upgrade from the Helio G90T we saw on the Zero 8.

The Infinix ZERO X could also feature a 120Hz high refresh rate display, a large 5,000mAh battery with fast charging support, and run Android 11 out of the box. We might also be getting the same 8GB RAM and 128GB onboard storage we saw on the ZERO 8.

Again, these are just leaks but we will be sharing more information about this device in our subsequent articles.
