Infinix’s ZERO 8 Bags iF ‘Product’ Design Award 2021

Infinix Zero 8 bags iF Design Award 2021 due to its “minimalist yet exquisite design finish” and spectacular choice of materials

Infinix Mobile has won a design award from one of the oldest design firms, founded in 1953, that identifies outstanding design, relevance for business and everyday life and awards one of the most important seals of quality in the world.

Infinix’s latest flagship Zero series phone, the Zero 8, was awarded the iF DESIGN AWARD 2021 in the Telecommunication category under the discipline product.

Infinix Zero 8 was applauded for its material – a combination of glass, metal, and polycarbonate. The phone also features a “minimalist yet exquisite design finish” represented through gem cut surfaces.

Infinix Zero 8 debuted in September 2020 in Kenya, sporting a 6.85-inch FHD+ IPS panel refreshing at higher 90Hz. The phone included 33W fast charging support with a USB Type-C port, which helps juice the available non-removable 4,500mAh battery easily. Infinix Zero 8 also includes 8GB of memory, 128GB of memory, Mediatek MT6785 Helio G90T processor, and a dual 48MP rear-facing camera.

The phone is still selling in Kenya at around Ksh 29,000 in three colorways, Silver Diamond, Black Diamond, and Green Diamond.

In our review of the Zero 8, the phone stood out with its design, performance, and camera capabilities.

In his own words, Nick Kanali, TechTrendsKE’s founder and editor, said, “The design is super good despite being plastic, the performance as well and camera which we will be talking about in a separate article does a fantastic job as well.”
