Huawei Hits the 200 Million mark on Smartphone Shipments in 2019

Beginning May, Huawei has not had a good time as a result of the US ban. But that has not stopped the company from hitting some new records. Huawei has announced today that they have shipped over 200 million smartphones globally in 2019.

Although the company shipped over a similar figure last year, this year it has taken Huawei less time. As compared to 2018, Huawei has hit the 200million mark just 64 days earlier than in 2018.

Breaking the news on Twitter, the company said, “We’ve just exceeded 200 mil shipments in 2019 64 days earlier than in our previous year!”

“Our thanks and appreciation goes out to everyone for your support – as we keep striving to improve technology for all.”

With two untouched months ahead before the year closes, the company will possibly record a higher number of shipments.

From the previously released figures when the company announced its quarterly results, Huawei said they had shipped a total of $185 million smartphones from January to September, which represented a 26% year-on-year increase.
