Yellow Card launches Global Accounts to simplify cross-border business payments

Yellow Card has launched Global Accounts, a new financial infrastructure platform to help businesses manage treasury operations, streamline cross-border payments and manage foreign currency balances through a single integration.

The platform enables companies to receive international payments via dedicated account details, hold funds in US dollars and euros, and convert currency between supported local currencies and stablecoins. It also enables payments to foreign suppliers and access to domestic payment networks in markets where the service is available.

The launch comes at a time when businesses operating in multiple markets are looking for more efficient ways to move money internationally, manage liquidity and reduce the complexity of dealing with multiple currencies.

Yellow Card is positioning Global Accounts as a solution for both companies managing their own financial operations and technology platforms looking to embed payment and account services into their products. Through its infrastructure, businesses can offer merchants, freelancers and other customers individual or virtual account details without building the underlying systems from scratch.

The platform also enables businesses to embed know-your-customer (KYC) checks into existing onboarding processes, allowing them to incorporate customer verification into their services.

Companies can access the infrastructure via two main offerings. The Treasury Portal is a suite of tools for receiving payments from clients and business partners, managing account balances, currency conversion and paying international suppliers. And, at the same time, the API Suite allows companies to embed these capabilities directly into their own platforms and workflows.

Yellow Card also cited its partnership with Visa as part of its wider work in the area of stablecoin applications in financial services. The companies are exploring how stablecoins could support treasury management, liquidity and cross-border payments, particularly in emerging markets where businesses often operate across different currencies and payment systems.

Security and compliance form another part of the offering. Yellow Card said the platform uses Transport Layer Security (TLS) to protect data in transit and AES-256 encryption to secure sensitive information stored on its systems. Additional safeguards include multi-factor authentication, role-based access controls, anti-money laundering measures and transaction monitoring.

The company also makes ISO 27001, SOC 1 and SOC 2 documentation available to support financial due diligence by businesses assessing the platform.

However, access to Global Accounts is subject to market availability and the terms applicable to each account. Yellow Card advises businesses to confirm whether the service is supported in their respective markets before integrating or using the platform.

The launch expands Yellow Card’s offering beyond its core stablecoin and digital asset infrastructure, targeting businesses that need to manage international payments and liquidity across multiple markets. Its adoption will depend in part on the availability of account services, supported currencies and payment networks in the markets where businesses operate.
