Siemens Digital Industries Software has partnered with technology distributor Redington to expand access to its Siemens Xcelerator industrial software portfolio across six African markets, including Kenya, Ethiopia, Nigeria, Morocco, Egypt and Tanzania.
The agreement is designed to help manufacturers, engineers and designers across these markets adopt advanced digital tools for product development, simulation and industrial operations. The companies also plan to extend the partnership into additional African markets in the future.
Under the agreement, businesses will have access to Siemens software including Teamcenter for product lifecycle management, Designcenter for product design and engineering, and Simcenter for simulation and testing. The portfolio also incorporates Digital Twin technology and Industrial AI, which can be used to model physical assets, identify potential equipment failures, improve production processes and support faster product development.
The partnership comes as African industries increase investment in digital technologies to improve operational efficiency, strengthen resilience and support industrial growth. Redington will draw on its regional market knowledge and partner network to support the distribution and adoption of Siemens’ industrial software.
