You can now use one Whatsapp account on up to four phones

The popular messaging platform WhatsApp has continuously refined its capabilities, making it more user-friendly and interoperable.

In the latest update, users can now log into their WhatsApp accounts on a maximum of four phones. This announcement was made by Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg.

“Starting today, you can log into the same WhatsApp account on four phones,” Zuckerberg wrote on his Facebook account.

Previously, WhatsApp users were only able to access the app from browsers, computers, or Android tablets alongside their primary devices. The multi-device linking feature makes WhatsApp better usability.

While it will be helpful for those who use different phones. The messages will be synced across the different phones, allowing users to access them from any of the phones that are on. All your chats, media, and calls will be end-to-end encrypted.

”Your phone doesn’t need to stay online to use WhatsApp on linked devices, but your linked devices will be logged out if you don’t use your phone for over 14 days. You need your primary phone to register your WhatsApp account and link new devices,” the company stated

With more than two billion users worldwide, WhatsApp is the biggest messaging platform, and the addition of a multiphone feature makes it even more attractive for personal and business use.

“You can now get a one-time-use code by entering your mobile number on WhatsApp Web, which you can use to link devices instead of scanning the QR code on your mobile phone. We’ll make this feature available for more linked devices in the future,” the company said in a blog post.
