Oppo Kenya announces winners of the Reno8T photography challenge

Oppo Kenya has announced the winners of its Reno8 T photography challenge which kicked off on 13th March 2023.

Winners of the competition, known as the #Reno8TSunsetPotrait challenge got to win an Oppo Reno8 T, Oppo band, and Oppo Enco Buds for first, second, and third place respectively.

The challenge saw participants showcase their photography skills to the world in a creative manner. During the course of the competition, participants were required to take photos of themselves and sunset portraits.

Speaking on the challenge, Fredrique Achieng, PR Manager, OPPO Kenya said, “Kenya is home to many talented photographers which speaks to the growing photography industry in Kenya. This growth is attributed to the rise of technology backed by a growth in social media platforms. According to the Communications Authority of Kenya, as of 2021, Kenya had approximately 60 million mobile phone subscribers. The number of users of social media is also equally high with approximately 11.9 million Facebook users and 2.5 million Instagram users according to Statista. “

“Moreover, in recent years, there has been a rise in the number of photography schools, workshops, photography exhibitions and competitions such as the #Reno8TSunset Portrait challenge that provide opportunities for photographers to develop and showcase their work and network with other professionals,”  Fredriqueadded.
