vivo Y20 Goes on Sale in Kenya, Priced at Ksh 13,999

Available across the country both online and offline

Vivo Kenya has officially debuted the Y20 in the market priced at Ksh 13,999. Vivo announced launch plans of the Y20 in September.

Vivo Y20 is the latest mid-range smartphone from the company and will be available starting today on branded stores around the country.

Alternatively, you can also purchase the device on Jumia and skip the hassle of going to get it by yourself.

The phone has a 6.51-inch Halo FullView Display with a tall 20:9 aspect ratio and HD+ (1600 x 720) resolution. Like most phones, the display has a notch interruption which in this case is a centrally placed waterdrop at the top.

Vivo Y20 runs on Qualcomm Snapdragon Processor 460 with 4GB RAM and 64 GB ROM with support for memory expansion via a dedicated microSD card up to 256GB.

On the back of the phone is a rectangular camera bump which houses a 13-megapixel primary camera, a 2-megapixel macro and a 2-megapixel bokeh lens and an LED flash.

Placed on the righthand side is a multifunction power button which acts as a fingerprint sensor and there’s also volume rockers. But there’s also face unlock for those who prefer that over fidgeting around with fingerprint sensors.

For the battery, vivo Y20 is equipped with a 5000mAh brick which shouldn’t take that long to juice up due to 18W fast charging support. vivo Y20 is available in two colours; Obsidian Black and Nebula Blue.

“We are strengthening our Y-series family with the latest addition of Y20 packed with loads of features in the camera, big battery, huge storage, eye-popping colours and ultra-game mode for a complete smartphone experience for users in the mid-range price segment,” said vivo Smartphone Kenya Brand Manager Mr James Irungu.
