Oppo to Launch Oppo A92 in Kenya on Thursday


The dates have been set. Oppo Kenya has planned to unveil a new device in the country on Thursday this week dubbed Oppo A92. Oppo A92 is yet another mid-range device after the company’s recently unveiled Oppo Reno 3 which is already selling in Kenya at Ksh 40,000.

It features the modern-day smartphone design aesthetics from the hole punch selfie camera to the rectangular camera bump with several lenses and impressive screen to body ratio.

The launch event will be held online via Oppo Kenya’s official YouTube channel.

On the spec sheet, Oppo A92 has a 6.5-inch IPS LCD display with FHD+ resolution(1080 x 2400) and 405 ppi, Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 665 processor, Android 10 splashed on top with ColorOS 7.1 UI, a 5,000mAh battery with 18W fast charging support, and 8GB of RAM.

Internal storage space is 128GB which has become a norm for smartphones these days. For photography enthusiasts, Oppo A92 has a main 48MP lens aided with three other lenses (8MP ultra-wide + 2MP macro + 2MP depth sensor) on the rear and a single 16MP lens for selfies. Video shoots can go up to 4K. The phone can shoot slow-motion videos as well but at a maximum of 120 frames per second(fps).

Besides the mentioned features, the phone also has super-linear Dual Stereo Speakers and Dirac 2.0 sound effect, a digital audio performance enhancement technology that optimizes all types of sound systems.

The phone is available with fixed 8GB/128GB memory configuration but you have the option to choose between three polar region inspired colors; Twilight Black, Aurora Purple and Shining White.

Although the launch hasn’t happened yet, we have already spotted Oppo A92 selling on Jumia selling at Ksh 35,000. You can check out the device here.
